About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Join Forth and IREC for a strategic workshop designed to help local and regional government staff accelerate electric vehicle charging infrastructure in their communities. This pre-Roadmap Conference session focuses on practical approaches that cities and counties can implement to increase EV adoption and charging accessibility. We will dive into how jurisdictions can advance transportation electrification through two key strategies: increasing utility engagement and electrifying government operations.

Utility Engagement - Learn effective strategies for partnering with utility companies to streamline charging infrastructure development and overcome common barriers.

Government Operations - Discover how to leverage internal policies, fleet electrification, and operational changes to lead by example and support community-wide adoption.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is tailored for local and regional government employees who are:

  • Interested in advancing transportation electrification initiatives
  • Seeking efficient, actionable strategies to expand charging infrastructure
  • Involved in zoning, planning, sustainability, or transportation roles
  • Working on or considering the Charging Smart designation process

The session will cover key areas where cities can take immediate action, including zoning and planning reforms, promotional incentives, and people-centered approaches to EV infrastructure development.

Registration for this workshop is separate from the Forth Roadmap Conference. Workshop attendees receive a special 10% discount off registration for the full Roadmap Conference!
