Character Workshop with Brian Palermo (The Groundlings)

Improvising characters adds a lot of fun and a new dimension to your range of play. But it’s hard to create and commit to a character. It’s a whole ’nother skill set!

Brian has learned a lot about improvising character through his decades at The Groundlings Theatre and builds upon their pedagogy with his own insights and methods. Come play with some of the same techniques used by Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy and Jennifer Coolidge. Learn how to create characters, define their points of view, embody them and how to best use them in improvs. This is super fun silliness with the specific goal of giving you a new skill set to play with.
