Workshop Overview:
In this imaginative and expressive youth workshop, artist Sean Chambers (AKA Chambo) guides young participants (ages 8–16) in creating their own custom wearable masks using paint, markers, and creative prompts. A self-taught artist who began drawing as a way to express what words couldn’t, Sean brings warmth, humor, and heart to every session. Young artists will leave with more than just a mask—they’ll learn how visual art can be a powerful tool for exploring and expressing identity. All materials included.
Instructor Background:
Sean Chambers, widely known as AKA Chambo, is a multimedia visual artist living and working in Phoenix, AZ. Since childhood, Sean has used art as his primary language—filling sketchbooks with made-up characters and portraits long before he found words for what he was feeling. Today, his raw and emotional work dives into themes of mental health, trauma, and healing, inviting connection through both physical and digital mediums.
