Character Creation for Writers

What makes a person unique? How do you capture that uniqueness in just a few sentences? Writers of all levels, beginner to experienced, are welcome to join us for this workshop: attend in our Bloor West Village studio, or virtually. We’ll take inspiration from some of the best character descriptions in literature before building characters of our own. We’ll learn how to introduce personality traits through dialogue and by showing our characters in action, and we’ll look at the essential characteristics of compelling protagonists. Join us for a lively writing workshop, learn new techniques and leave with writing pieces you can expand upon in the future.
