Character Building Writing Workshop

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Generate diverse and compelling character ideas.
- Develop rich backstories and motivations for their characters.
- Craft believable character voices and dialogue.
- Utilize internal and external conflicts to drive character growth.
- Employ sensory details and actions to reveal character.
- Understand and apply various character archetypes and their subversions.
- Critique and refine their own and others' character development.
Materials Needed:
- Notebook and pens/pencils OR laptop
- Access to word processing software (Google Docs, Word Doc, etc) - if using a laptop
- Optional: Index cards, sticky notes
