Nevada-licensed or emeritus-certified attorneys can earn 2.0 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits by attending either online or in-person. All attorneys must take on at least one new pro bono case to receive CLE credit. Select a case at www.lacsnprobono.org.
This two-hour CLE will cover what to expect in handling an uncomplicated Chapter 7 bankruptcy. It will start with an overview of bankruptcy law, then delve into preparing the Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition, the debtor's duties and deadline, and the 314 Meeting of Creditors.
This program will be available online via RingCentral and in-person at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. In-person space is limited to 15 attendees and lunch will be provided. It will be presented by Richard Hawkins, Esq., of the Hawkins Law Firm.

Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada’s Pro Bono Project coordinates private attorneys who generously volunteer to provide free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford an attorney. The Pro Bono Project offers many opportunities for attorneys to contribute pro bono services. Lawyers can volunteer to take a case or answer legal questions for an hour or two. CLE training seminars, mentors, and a number of support services are available to assist volunteers.
