I see this is held at a Church. Is this an LGBTQ-friendly event?

Absolutely. Vine Street Christian Church affirms the inherent worth and dignity of all people, including LGBTQIA+ people. Nashville in Harmony was founded in 2004 as a musical arts organization for LGBTQIA+ people and their allies.

What if I am not LGBTQIA+? Can I still attend?

Yes! This event is for all people.

Question 3

I don't read music. Does it make sense for me to come?

Accepted Answer

While knowing how to read music helps, it is not a requirement. Some folks at this event will have advanced degrees in music, and some won't be able to read music at all. Most people will be somewhere in between. Plus, the goal is not perfection; it's to have fun!

Why the levels of support?

Accepted Answer

We wanted to make a sliding scale so that it is more affordable for folks who want to attend. The experience is the same no matter how much you pay.

Question 5

How do I get my music?

Accepted Answer

We will email music out a week before the event so that you can use your iPad or print it at home. If you want us to print your music, you may request that in the "add-on" section when purchasing your ticket. It is an additional $5.00 to cover costs.

Question 6

I am accompanying my middle-school-aged or older minor. Do I need a ticket?

Accepted Answer

No. You do not need a ticket unless you plan to sing with us. When you arrive, just check in with the NIH table so we know who you are and why you're there.

I can't make it. Will there be other opportunities like this?

Accepted Answer

We hope so! We anticipate that this event will be a HIT. We will likely plan another event like this sometime this year.
