UC San Diego’s Changemaker Week proudly presents a talk by Alex Counts, founder of the Grameen Foundation and author of “Changing the World Without Losing Your Mind.”

Some people are dreamers. They choose a career shaped by dreams of making the world a better place –caring for kids, lifting up the poor and protecting the planet. When your dreams are that powerful, it’s easy to neglect yourself. Both lives and dreams can suffer the consequences. If you’re one of the dreamers, come to hear the author of a new book that Forbes magazine called a "must read" for nonprofit employees.

He shows you how to run an organization – and your own life – both effectively and sustainably, giving joyfully to those around you while also caring generously for yourself.

Location: The Great Hall (directions). Closest parking will be at the Pangea Parking Structure (Pangea Drive at N. Torrey Pines Rd.) A parking permit is required and can be purchased at the pay stations.
