We back again for June! This live storytelling experience reignites the beauty of real stories. Expect live, true stories from a diverse set of storytellers of all backgrounds about an event that changed their minds for the better, including stories about aging, serendipitous moments with strangers, the complexity of prison, family, love, and more, intriguing ice breakers to meet new people, tips to use your own stories for transformation, and to laugh, learn, and connect with folks in a deeper way. Facilitated by Christina Blacken, Founder of The New Quo - a DEI and leadership development firm that’s trained 17,000 leaders through the power of story to use ethical and cultural wisdom to create deeper trust, belonging, and innovation in their relationships and work.

Located at Starr Bar at 214 Starr Street In Brooklyn. Arrive on time as seating is first come, first serve. Doors open at 6:30p. Show starts promptly at 6:45p.

Christina Blacken is a public speaker, performer, podcast host of "Sway them in Color," and founder of TheNewQuo.com. The New Quo is a leadership development and communication consultancy helping leaders tap into their narrative intelligence and the psychological power of story to transform behavior, build inclusive culture, and communicate new ideas with deeper connection and influence to achieve their goals. She provides professional development training on inclusive leadership and copywriting services for underrepresented founders, and has taught 445 leaders how to transform themselves, their habits, and their workplace cultures on the topics of imposter syndrome, unconscious bias, and culture change. Before running her business, she worked for 10 years in corporate America using stories to drive change including inspiring 300k teens to take action on pro-social causes, and closing 6.5M in sales with the teams and household brands she's worked with. The New Quo has been featured in Elle.com, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Huffington Post, Forbes, Business Insider, and Thrive.com among other outlets. As an Utah native & NYC resident for 10 years, she knows more uses for jello than she’d like to admit.
