About this event

Arts • Painting

Filipino American dance artist Bennyroyce Royon is embarking on a new project titled CHAMELEON, a multidisciplinary contemporary dance work exploring ideas of reinvention, creativity, and queer joy.

Co-produced by Velocity Dance Center, this project delves deep into Royon's personal lived experiences, confronting past traumas, and celebrating the discovery of supportive communities.

Like many artists, Royon wears many hats. They are a non-profit administrator, community organizer, cultural producer, and teaching artist. A Juilliard graduate and former Broadway performer, their creativity thrives at the intersection of community building, cultural advocacy, and arts education.
