CHALLENGING THE LEGACY: MANY MODES OF IDENTITY

Join us for a panel discussion with four innovative dance artists, Dante Puleio, Ian Spencer Bell, Amelia Sanders, and François Chaignaud. The panel will be led by moderator Meg Brooker and focuses on questions around gender, identity, inclusivity, and the many modes of participation in the practice of learning and performing the works of Isadora Duncan, and other early modern dance choreographers. This event kicks off the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Duncan’s birth. The newly formed Duncan Legacy Project serves as an umbrella organization for its core programs, the online Isadora Duncan Archive, and the experiential Isadora Duncan International Symposium. The Duncan Legacy Project fosters the generous sharing of knowledge and supports the dance community worldwide by providing resources for Duncan practitioners, the general public, and the international dance community.
