Chalk It Up @ the Park with the University District!

University District's Walk to the Park

There are two starting points, All Saints Episcopal Church OR Gesu Catholic Church Playground.

Meet your tour guides in the parking lot of All Saints Episcopal Church (W. 7 Mile Rd at Birchcrest St.) or the Playground at Gesu Catholic Church (W. McNichols at Oak Drive) for a stroll through our neighborhood, ending with refreshments and creative and fun activities celebrating the beautifully renovated Belden Santa Maria Park.

The University District Community Association is hosting this event for our residents and friends and neighbors in Bagley, Martin Park and Fitzgerald neighborhoods. Community partners include Live6 Alliance, Community Development Advocates of Detroit, the Detroit Parks Coalition, and the City of Detroit's General Services Department and Park and Recreation Division.

This accessible event is a great opportunity to meet new people, get a little exercise, create sidewalk chalk decorations with an artist, and appreciate nature and each other!
