Overview
This class teaches chainsaw safety and handling, including selection of PPE and saws, basic cuts for downed trees, and chainsaw maintenance.
The Chainsaw Safety and Handling workshops teach the following for anyone new to the use of chainsaws or interested in learning more:
•basic safety and handling of chainsaws
•proper selection of well-fitting PPE
•selecting chainsaws based on intended use and physical limitations
•basic saw cuts on downed trees
•operating practices to reduce fatigue/body stress
•basic chainsaw maintenance
