Presenters: Jasee Freeman, MS,BCBA, LBA, Keisha Matthews-Berry MS, CCC-SLP

Presentation: This CEU explores the essential collaboration between SLPs and BCBAs to better support Black families, particularly those navigating homeschooling with neurodivergent children. Participants will learn how conflicting interventions and professional “beef” create real barriers for families who rely on coordinated care across disciplines. The presentation outlines practical, culturally responsive strategies for effective collaboration, staying within scope of practice, and aligning communication, feeding, and behavior approaches. Attendees will also receive a clear call to action focused on improving interdisciplinary communication, empowering families in decision-making, and building habits of research-sharing between providers. This session offers a relatable, solutions-focused conversation aimed at uniting SLPs and BCBAs for stronger, more equitable outcomes in Black home.
