Certified Peer Support Professional Training

Overview

This is a 48-hour training held three days a week for two weeks that will prepare individuals to be Certified Peer Support Professionals!

DMHA is providing an in-person, 48-hour Certified Peer Support Professional. This in-person training will be held at the Ivy Tech Plainfield 1610 Reeves Rd. Plainfield, IN 46168 Room 203. Whether you're looking to start a career in peer support or enhance your skills, this training is perfect for you. Learn from experienced professionals and gain the knowledge and tools needed to support others effectively.

This 48-hour training will be Monday, August 3rd through Wednesday, August 5th AND Monday, August 10th through Wednesday, August 12th, 2026. This training runs from 8:00am-4:00pm each day.

ALL days must be attended to be eligible for the certification. Lunch is on your own.

To qualify for the training individuals must

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have personal lived experience of recovery from a mental health condition, substance use or problem gambling and/or
  • Have personal lived experience assisting a family member with a mental health condition, substance use or problem gambling
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent*
  • Must live or work in Indiana at least 51% of the time
