About the Presenter: Nina Flores



Nina Flores is the Executive Director of the West Brighton Community Local Development Corporation (WBCLDC), dba the Staten Island Business Outreach Center (SIBOC) and the Forest Avenue Business Improvement District (BID). Appointed in January 2020 as the first Latina Executive Director in the organization’s history, Nina brings over 23 years of experience in not-for-profit economic development. She oversees city, state, and federal programs, including the U.S. SBA BOC Women’s Business Center, NYS Entrepreneur Assistance Center, NYC SBS MWBE Leadership Association, and the NYC Small Business Services Neighborhood 360 Program in West Brighton. Nina also manages the Forest Avenue BID, working closely with merchants along Staten Island’s North Shore to strengthen commercial corridors such as Castleton Avenue and Forest Avenue West.

In addition to her role at SIBOC, Nina serves as a Board Member, Co-Treasurer, and Small Business Regulatory Co-Chair of the NYC BID Association and is an active member of the BOC WBC Advisory Board, the City of New York New Commercial Corridor Recovery Task Force (Geography Lead for Staten Island), and the Latino American Small Business Taskforce. She was appointed by Mayor Eric Adams to the NYC Small Business Advisory Commission in 2022 and recognized on the City & State Power 100 Staten Island List in 2024. A dedicated advocate for entrepreneurs, Nina continues to provide one-on-one technical assistance, workshops, and webinars on business development and certification, carrying forward her lifelong mission to empower small business owners and foster economic growth across New York City.
