Do I receive anything following the completion of the training?

YES! Once attendees finish the training, we will provide each attendee with a CERT backpack. This backpack contains a life straw, lantern, gas/water shutoff tool, and various other items. This backpack is the starter pack for you to show friends/family the importance of preparedness at home.

Yes, attendees will need to participate in all three days of training to receive a certificate of completion.

What can I expect from this training?

The CERT training covers topics such as basic first aid, disaster preparedness, and community resilience. There is also a training module on fire safety which gives attendees the opportunity to extinguish a live fire in a simulated environment.

This training is free to attend! The only cost is your time and participation in the class.

How long is this training?

The Basic CERT course is held over three days. The first class day will be Friday, October 22nd, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The second day will be Saturday, October 23rd, and the third day will be Sunday, October 24th, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
