In this one-day workshop, you’ll create a ceramic luminary from start to finish using handbuilding techniques. We’ll guide you through forming the structure, carving or piercing patterns, and creating a design that glows beautifully when lit from within. No prior clay experience is required — this class is beginner friendly and supportive of all skill levels.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- Rolling and shaping slabs for luminary construction
- Joining clay pieces securely
- Carving, cutting, and designing light patterns
- Surface considerations for successful firing
At the end of the workshop, you’ll select a glaze color from our studio options. We’ll handle the glazing and firing for you, and your finished luminary will be ready for pickup after the kiln process is complete.
This workshop is a perfect way to create a cozy, handmade piece for your home — or a gift that truly shines.
