The QuintEssential, Signature Solera Edition

Taking advantage of the Cedar Ridge’s roots in wine making, The QuintEssential is handcrafted from 100% pure malted barley, aged in Cedar Ridge’s ex-bourbon barrels and then uniquely finished in various sherry, brandy, rum and wine casks. Each batch is meticulously married into their solera vat, which is never fully emptied, resulting in a depth of character and complexity that is unique to The QuintEssential, creating their Signature Solera Edition.

The QuintEssential, Single Cask Series explores our award winning American Single Malt in our most unique single cask selections. The barrels are always hand-selected by Murphy Quint, Master Distiller & Master Blender of Cedar Ridge, and released as single barrels at true cask strength.

The QuintEssential, Single Cask Series – Tokaji Cask

This Single Cask selection features 100% 2-Row Pale Malted Barley first aged in Cedar Ridge ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Tokaji Cask from Hungary.

The QuintEssential, Single Cask Series – Chardonnay Puncheon

This Single Cask selection features 100% 2-Row Pale Malted Barley first aged in Cedar Ridge ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Chardonnay Puncheon.

The QuintEssential, Single Cask Series – Peated Malt finished in Sauternes Hogshead

This Single Cask selection features Peated Malt first aged in Cedar Ridge ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Sauternes Hogshead from Bordeaux, France.

The QuintEssential Private Cask – Moscatel Cask, selected by Nate Gana

This Private Cask selection features 100% 2-Row Pale Malted Barley first aged in Cedar Ridge ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in a Moscatel cask.

The QuintEssential, Special Release – Wine Club, First Meeting

The Wine Club, First Meeting, Special Release explores unique wine finishing casks from around the world. This expression is handcrafted from 2-row pale malted barley first aged in Cedar Ridge ex-bourbon barrels and finished in First Fill Amontillado Sherry, Tokaji and Moscatel casks blended with Peated Malt finished in a Pinot Noir cask.

The QuintEssential, Special Release – Number Five

For Cedar Ridge Distillery, the number five has always held historic significance. We were first established in 2005, marking the beginning of our journey. From our beloved Madeira inspired dessert wine V (Roman Numeral 5) to our owners last name, Quint, meaning five, this number has consistently been featured in our story.

In theme with the number five, this release utilizes 5 different finishing casks:
