The Catholic Lawyers Guild of Nassau County was founded in 1958 to help serve the spiritual needs of the lawyers and judges of Nassau County and to foster fellowship amongst them. For more than 60 years, the Guild has sought to achieve its goals by sponsoring spiritual, educational and social gatherings, including Mass at the Bar Association, Third Friday Adoration, continuing legal education seminars and annual retreats.
Our signature and most widely attended celebration is the annual Red Mass and Dinner Reception. This year, the 2025 Red Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of St. Joseph in Garden City. The dinner reception will follow immediately after Mass at Chaminade High School’s Activities-Athletic Center. We encourage all of our friends and family to attend this beautiful event.
This year, the Guild is proudly honoring the Honorable Jerry Garguilo, Justice of the New York State Supreme Court, Suffolk County, posthumously, and Thomas G. Renker, Esq., former general counsel of the Diocese of Rockville Centre.
