Event description

Description

Look for raptors and other grassland birds at the City of Ashland Imperatrice property with local bird biologist and wildlife photographer, Frank Lospalluto. American Kestrels, Red-tailed Hawks, and Northern Harriers are common, but we may also see Rough-legged Hawks, other falcons, and eagles. The Imperatrice property, in the Cascade Mountain Foothills, is a beautiful 876-acre property with grassland flowers, glorious views of the southern Bear Creek Valley, and a rare breeding colony of Grasshopper Sparrows.
