Did you know that the state of Michigan benefited significantly from the Carnegie library movement? Join us at our own Carnegie as we welcome professional writer, broadcaster and public speaker Dianna Stampfler!
Entertaining audiences about a variety of topics in Michigan history, including historic lighthouses, agricultural heritage, and many other topics, Stampfler has been an active part in the Michigan tourism industry for over 20 years through her company Promote Michigan. Her first book, “Michigan’s Haunted Lighthouse” includes stories about historic lighthouses around the state of Michigan, and is available for purchase at the Port Huron Museum.
On Thursday, September 25, Dianna Stampfler will be giving a presentation about the history of Carnegie libraries in Michigan! What better way to experience this presentation than in a Carnegie building, and have the ability to check out our current mezzanine exhibit, Celebration of the Carnegie.
