Join us on Thursday, August 7, as we welcome Ms. Andie Waara for our Caring without Bias: Improving LGBTQ+ Healthcare Experiences Lunch and Learn.
Ms. Waara is an APSW with clinical experience working with the LGBTQ+ population and has numerous years of navigating the healthcare industry, advocating for members of the LGBTQ+ community. She will discuss biases, discrimination, and common difficulties that the LGBTQ+ community encounters in the healthcare field and how nurses/providers can improve on those and their care overall!
Both virtual and in-person options are available on Thursday, August 7, from 12:00 -1:00 PM. Lunch will be provided to those who attend in person at our Brookfield campus.
