Caring for Those Who Once Cared for Us
Overview
Caring for Those Who Once Cared for Us
Caring for Those Who Once Cared for Us is a thoughtful and intimate gathering created for adult children who are caring for their aging parents. This season of life brings profound meaning, but it can also come with emotional strain, role reversal, and the weight of constant responsibility. Many caregivers feel unseen, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to navigate the complexities that come with supporting a parent.
Led by Dr. Regina K. Smith, author of Caring Without Guilt: When Love Is Not Enough, this session will explore the emotional and practical realities of caregiving. Through open conversation, shared experiences, and expert guidance, Dr. Smith will help participants understand guilt, set healthy boundaries, and care for themselves while caring for someone they love.
Attendees will leave with a deeper sense of support, community, and clarity—along with tangible tools to move forward with compassion and confidence. This is a safe space to exhale, connect, learn, and feel seen.
Join us for an evening of reflection, understanding, and encouragement as we honor the journey of caregiving and the strength it requires.
