Description
CAPITAL, in cooperation with C-Roads, is organising a showcase at Transport Research Arena 2018 to provide you with an insight into C-ITS services to be deployed in 2019.
To kick off the showcase, C-Roads General Secretary Martin Böhm will present the key elements for the deployment of interoperable cross-border C-ITS services across Europe. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
In the second part of the showcase, participants will have the opportunity to experience selected C-ITS Day 1 services in virtual reality. The virtual reality demonstration will allow attendants to observe information flows in C-ITS from multiple perspectives, accompanied by experts from AustriaTech.

Do I need to buy a ticket for TRA 18?
Yes, the showcase does not entitle you to entry to TRA 18. Only registered attendees are eligible to participate.
What is the duration of the showcase?
30 to 45 minutes.

Collaborative cApacity Programme on ITS Training-educAtion and Liaison (CAPITAL) is a support action funded by the European Union which aims to design and deliver a collaborative capacity-building programme.
The main aim of the CAPITAL project is to create a collaborative capacity building community and deployment programme to support public and private stakeholders implementing cooperative and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS & C-ITS) with training and educational resources, while also raising awareness of the services and benefits available.
The C-Roads Platform is a joint initiative of European Member States and road operators for testing and implementing C-ITS services in light of cross-border harmonisation and interoperability.
