CAOHC Online Re-Certification

This course, offered entirely online, meets the requirements of the Council for Accreditation in Occupation Hearing Conservation (CAOHC). Upon successful completion of the course, which includes passing a computer-based exam, participants are eligible for certification through CAOHC. Certification is good for five years.

Class is from 11:00am to 7:00pm EST (must have access to hearing protection and otoscope)

Includes short breaks and lunch break

Course Director: Our CAOHC approved Course Directors are credentialed or licensed in audiology, industrial hygiene, occupational health nursing, otolaryngology, occupational medicine, noise-control engineering or safety, and have demonstrated expertise in hearing loss prevention. They utilize a variety of disciplines and tools to provide a complete and positive learning experience.

Virtual Course Requirements:

• Computer with reliable internet connection and a functional webcam
• Otoscope and a person to act as a patient during practicum. If you do not have access to an otoscope, you can purchase one on Amazon or at your local pharmacy.
• Hearing Protection assortment – This will be shipped to the attendee 1-2 weeks prior to the course start date

• Hearing Protection – an assortment of protection will be sent and is used for practicum

Exam Retakes: Exam retakes will be offered through Microsoft Teams on the first and last Tuesday of each month. The first Tuesday will be at 11:00am EST and the last Tuesday will be at 2:00pm EST (PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TIMES ARE EASTERN STANDARD TIME). It is the attendee's responsibility to email dirh@e3diagnostics to schedule their retake on one of those Tuesdays, keeping in mind the 30-day retake window.

Cancellations and Transfers: Confirmed registrants who cancel during the two-week period prior to the first day of the course are subject to forfeiting the entire fee. Confirmed registrations who transfer to another scheduled class location within 10 days of the start of the course are subject to a service charge.
