Attend a dance class or swim in our 100 X 50 ft pool. Make some art and explore our 14-acre campus with walking trails.

Movie Screening/Lunch

A screening of the classic film Dirty Dancing in our pop-up theater. Lunch will be served in the theater.

Fancy Dinner with trivia and prizes

Encouraging guests to dress for the period! We will have movie trivia as well. Dinner will be served in our open-air pavilion

Watermelon Dance Party

Come dress to move to the tunes of the 50 - 60's and beyond. Use those moves you learned during your dance class! More games and prizes will add to the night!

Sunday Morning Stretching and Movement

Please wake up and join us for a morning of relaxation and centering in the outdoor pavilion before you check out.

Welcome to Camp Thorpe's Ultra Camp: Dirty Dancing Edition,

This immersive, overnight two-day event, designed specifically for adults aged 21 and over, will take place on August 23-24 at Camp Thorpe, located on 14 acres of our 171-acre Green Mountain National Forest campus in Goshen, VT.

This rustic and uniquely Vermont experience is for a great cause. Camp Thorpe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a joyful and inclusive summer camp experience for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. We have been doing just that for the past 98 years. Your ticket purchase directly supports our summer program, helping us continue our mission and build for the future.

You won't want to miss the chance to lounge around our 100-ft by 50-ft zero-entry pool, enjoying or participating in activities ranging from elevated arts and crafts to walking and hiking, yoga and movement programming, a film screening under the stars, and more!

Dressing for the period (1950s-60s) is strongly encouraged. Brush up on your trivia knowledge and favorite dance moves because prizes will be awarded!

From bunking with new cabin mates to renting an entire rustic cabin for you and your entourage, this is the nostalgic end-of-summer event!!

Ticket Details:

General Admission includes access to all daytime activities plus one meal ticket for lunch. Price: $50

Single Bed Tickets offer an overnight stay in a cabin with other guests, three meals, and access to all the activities. Price: $125

Two-Bed (In Private Rustic Cabin - No In-Cabin Bathroom): Tickets are perfect for those who want a bit more privacy. Allowing you to make new friends while still having your own space. Price: $325

VIP Full Cabin Tickets are the ultimate package. They include accommodations for up to five guests in a private, rustic cabin with a half-bath, three meals, and access to all the event's activities. It's the perfect choice for friends seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Price: $600

As the camp enters its 97th season, Walter Thorpe's tradition and philosophy are maintained with the highest allegiance-meeting the needs of each camper, showing each that he/she/they have ability and potential.

Participation is intended to develop this potential further. Currently, camping experiences are provided to children and adults with various physical and developmental needs. Although the program has expanded and changed through the years, Walter Thorpe's purpose is perpetuated through positive, successful camping experiences for children and adults in a fun, happy, stress-free environment.

Surprisingly, it costs us $2875 to host a camper for two weeks at Camp Thorpe. To ensure our camp remains accessible to all, we offer tuition at approximately half the actual cost per camper, creating a significant funding gap. This is where events like the Ultra Camp: Dirty Dancing Edition play a crucial role. By participating in this event, you're helping us bridge this funding gap and ensuring that more campers can experience the profound joy and significant personal growth our camp offers.
