Aslin

Indie folk singer-songwriter Aslin was raised on Sauvie Island outside of Portland, Oregon. Her passion for music started early, with a strong foundation built during high school at Central Catholic, where she honed her skills in music production, performance, and choir. In her senior year, she released her debut EP, Secondary, which drew inspiration from artists like Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers.

Aslin began studying music business at NYU, but the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted her live performance plans. During lockdown, she released her second EP, The Sauvie Island Project. Eventually, she transferred to Middle Tennessee State University, where she continued to grow as an artist. A major milestone came in 2023 when Aslin opened for her childhood idol, Phoebe Bridgers.

Now in her final year at MTSU, Aslin is focused on her third EP, Inflight, a blend of original indie folk songs and classic covers. Looking ahead, Aslin plans to tour the Pacific Northwest in 2024 and further immerse herself in Portland’s indie music scene after graduating.
