About this event
Cam Adair is a speaker, entrepreneur, and a pioneer in the field of video game addiction.
A talented hockey player, Cam's life took a dramatic turn at the age of 11 when he began to experience intense bullying, leading him to drop out of high school. He never graduated, and while all his friends were off to college, Cam was playing video games for up to 16 hours a day. Struggling with depression, he got to the point of writing a suicide note. It was this night that he made a commitment to change.
In Confessions of a Video Game Addict, Cam will share his personal journey of overcoming his addiction to the gaming world, and offer key insights that he's learned along the way on living a more meaningful life.
Cam is highly personable and interactive, focusing on creating a safe, open space to have an honest conversation about these topics. His presentation will inspire us all to think differently about our technology habits and provide strategies to thrive in this digital age.
Named one of Canada's top 150 leaders in Mental Health, his work has been published in Psychiatry Research and featured in two TEDx talks, the New York Times, Forbes, BBC, ABC, 20/20, and Vice, amongst others.
Cam is signed by CAMPUSPEAK, a higher education speaking agency.
His videos on YouTube have over two million views.
Born in Canada, he currently lives in California.
