The CALM Trainer Refresher Course is required every two years to maintain trainer authorization and access to CALM materials. The curriculum is designed for those trained prior to June, 2023. During this six-hour session, participants will be guided through updates to the CALM Clinical Workshop materials and receive access to our online portal. Participants will also be trained to deliver CALM Conversations, a gatekeeper suicide prevention training intended for a general audience that includes a substantial section on lethal means safety. Additionally, participants will participate in CALM-SAFE, a firearms literacy training that will enhance trainers' cultural competency and ability to address questions related to firearms and secure storage.
