Judith Kerman

Judith Kerman has published eight books/chapbooks of poetry, most recently Aleph, broken: Poems from My Diaspora (Broadstone Books, 2016) and Postcards from America  (Post Traumatic Press, 2015). She has also published three books of translations of Spanish poetry and fiction, Between Two Silences (Dominican; short fiction by Hilda Contreras, 2000 Premio Nacional de Literatura - Mayapple Press, 2013), A Woman in Her Garden: Selected Poems of Dulce María Loynaz (Cuban; Cervantes Prize laureate, 1992 - White Pine Press in 2002) and Praises and Offenses: Three Women Poets from the Dominican Republic (BOA Editions, Lannan selections, 2009). She was a Fulbright Senior Scholar to the Dominican Republic in 2002, translating the poetry and fiction of contemporary Dominican women.

Penelope Hyde Levine

Penelope Hyde Levine has lived in the Hudson Valley for over forty years.  She edited News of Music out of Bard College and has been a member of several local writing groups. She has read her work in a variety of venues throughout the Hudson Valley.  She curated three performances in Cocoon Theatre’s Soirée in the Parlor, helping fellow poets to develop multimedia, visual and musical performances of their work as well as setting her own poems to music, dance, theatre and film.  She curated a show of Rita Sherry’s work at the Cunneen Hackett Art Gallery in August 2017.  This past June she retired from work as a special education teacher for Ulster County BOCES where she edited the school’s literary magazine and passionately supported student writing.  Recently she had a poem accepted by Willawaw Journal and a poem displayed in Arts Mid Hudson's Poets Respond to Art show.  She has two grown children and lives with her husband and their cat.

Tom Romeo

Tom Romeo has been writing and performing his poetry and stories for nearly thirty years and so far no one has tried to stop him.

He takes that as a good sign.

Originally from Long Island, he moved to Kingston in 2014 and has performed at several venues in the Hudson Valley.

His work can be found in three chapbooks: Remember?, Demented Love and OMG.
