Exhibition Dates: November 1, 2025 – January 2, 2026
Location: Matchbox · RiNo Art District, Denver

We’re excited to invite artists to apply for the Matchbox Mini Art Show, a holiday-season group exhibition in Denver’s RiNo Art District. This juried show is designed to highlight a wide variety of small-format artwork, perfect for holiday gift giving.

Key Dates

  • Submission Deadline: October 10, 2025
  • Winners Announced by Email: October 13, 2025 (this is the only notification)
  • Artwork Drop-Off: October 28, 2025 (12:00 PM) at Matchbox
  • Exhibition Opening: November 1, 2025
  • Artwork Pick-Up: January 2, 2026 (12:00 PM) unless arranged otherwise

Format & Artwork Requirements

  • 20–30 artists will be selected.
  • Each selected artist must provide 10–15 small works.
    • Works must be 8x10 inches max (art only). With mat/frame, works may measure up to 12x12 inches max.
    • All works must be wall-hung, with wire or hook hardware attached.
  • Quantity:
    • Standard: Up to 12 pieces submitted per artist.
    • If you’ve sold out in a past Matchbox show, you may submit up to 20 pieces.
  • Labeling: Put your name and price on the back of each piece.
  • Packaging:
    • All art must arrive in a box (no totes or bags).
    • Do not overwrap art. Use dividers between pieces.
    • Include an inventory sheet with your name, address, email, phone number, titles, and prices.

Pricing & Sales

  • All items must be priced under $100.
  • Commission: 80% Artist / 20% Curator.
  • Payouts: Issued by check 30 days after the close of the show.
  • W9 form required for payout.

Media Accepted

✅ 2D works (painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, prints, canvas prints)
✅ Small 3D works if they can hang on the wall
✅ Prints & giclées (new work only — no repeats from prior shows)
✅ Merch (stickers, small prints, etc.)

❌ No jewelry, pottery, fiber arts, or free-standing 3D objects.

Promotion Requirements

  • Submit high-quality digital images of all works being entered.
  • Provide a short artist bio (100–200 words) and a headshot.
  • Include social media handles so we can tag you in promotions.


This is a juried exhibition. Selections will be announced via email on October 13, 2025.

Sales begin at 4pm sharp!

Sales will be available at the bar& online!

Pick ups of sold items will be on Saturdays before 2om - The Show is restocked Weekly until December 31st


AFTER THE SHOW

THE OFFICIAL ART PICKUP DAY IS January 2, 2026 (12:00 PM) unless arranged otherwise arranged

Art will be boxed up, labeled with your name, and stacked at the back of the bar at Art★Bar,

ready to take away. We retain only 20% on sold art.

Art picked up after January 2nd will need to be scheduled with the curator.
