Event description
SBR's Carbon Footprint educational events from January to March are focused on the Why, the What and the How.

About this Event

Calculating your Carbon Foot Print (you can’t manage what you can’t measure!) @ National Grid, February 6th, 4-6 pm

Following our solutions based discussed on the Why, held on January 6th @Phillips Lytle, we are now offering a workshop on the What, hosted by National Grid.

This workshop is ideal for: C-suite Executives, Sustainability Directors, Sustainability / Environmental Consultants, Environmental Compliance Officers, Environment Health & Safety Professionals, Finance Professionals, Health Professionals, Energy/ LEED Professionals and all companies/ personnel who have an interest in climate change.

WHAT is this all about?

You already know about greenhouse gases (GHG) and their impact on the earth’s climate, and that New York State’s new Climate Law (CLCPA) will regulate carbon emissions. But what are the next steps? This workshop will help your company get started on your journey towards a GHG analysis.

Join our workshop to get a better understanding of:

- What are today’s best practices for calculating GHG emissions?

- What emission sources should be included in a GHG inventory?

- What publicly available tools are available for your company to use for generating and interpreting useful GHG data?

- What part of your GHG analysis is key to communicate to external stakeholders?

- What examples are out there that we can learn from?
