About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 15 minutes

Building climate resilience requires managing both the urgency of short-term fixes and the need to work towards a long-term vision. To strike the right balance will require a whole-of-society approach. This session will feature high-ranking delegates from the Caribbean Basin who will share examples of successful climate response strategies for coastal cities in the Caribbean Basin. The discussion will highlight the tools available to consider multidimensional climate risks, unlock additional climate finance, and implement effective resilience actions.

The Third UN Ocean Conference (UNOC), co-chaired by the Governments of France and Costa Rica, will convene in Nice, France, in June 2025. This event will be located in Nice, France and is open for in-person registration.
