The Napa Grange needs a new roof. Come support this community hall by raising the old one with a cajun dance party!
The Magnolia Sisters are an all-woman band who play many styles of Cajun French music from southwest Louisiana. From dancehall Cajun to primitive Creole, from house music to front porch ballads, they are an ideal band for a rockin' dance party at the historic Grange in Napa. Part of the body of the Magnolia Sisters' music has been gleaned from a long-buried wealth of Cajun jewels found in their extensive personal music archives.
Time Out Chicago says, "Authentic sound at its zenith...earthy as all hell, though not precious premeditation. ”
The members of the group are Ann Savoy, Jane Vidrine, Anya Burgess, and Lisa Trahan. Each brings to the ensemble her own rich individual experience as a Louisiana musician, mother, and woman in the real world. The common ground is the music, the heritage, and the feeling that comes across.
The Magnolia Sisters have toured extensively in Europe and the US. Their two most recent CDs were nominated for Grammy Awards.
