The California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (CA3) invites you to a regional working lunch for school district leaders, board members, and community-based organizations across Sacramento County.
With the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) at a critical point—and the end of Governor Newsom’s final term approaching—now is the time to align, act, and advocate for the long-term sustainability of this transformative investment in students. As pressure mounts to spend down unspent ELO-P funds, this convening offers the chance to collaborate, strategize, and ensure that expanded learning remains a priority in future budgets.
Join us for a candid and collaborative conversation about how our region can:
- Maximize the impact of ELO-P dollars
- Address spending and sustainability challenges
- Share effective, equity-driven practices
- Build momentum for advocacy
What to Expect:
- Lunch and networking
- Updates on the state and federal budget
- Discussion on unspent ELO-P funds and how to use them effectively
- Regional collaboration strategies and planning tools
- Advocacy resources and messaging to support long-term funding
