Overview

Join us in making 500+ burritos to be delivered to homeless and/or hungry folks throughout the Chicago area.

Once a month we meet and make 500+ vegan burritos from scratch. Volunteer help is needed with both cooking and non cooking tasks including:

-chopping vegetables

-rolling burritos

-packing burritos for distribution

-labeling burritos

-washing and drying dishes

-driving burritos to drop off points

If you are looking to volunteer with a group larger than 5 people, or your group includes children younger than 13, please send us a message letting us know in addition to registering for the event.

We invite a speaker each month from another community organization that we partner with or that does similiar work to build community and understand how different organizations can work together to fight hunger.

Once the burritos are made, teams head out to distribute the burritos by car or by bike, which we always need help with as well. Check out the event page "Burrito Brigade Chicago Bike Distribution" hosted by Cycling Solidarity if you are interested in helping by bike.

Close toed shoes are required. Please tie back long hair. Please do not attend if you are sick.
