Buried in Kilkenny
Overview
You’re invited to the screening of BURIED IN KILKENNY, a short film by Laura Meek, featuring the haunting folk song, Buried in Kilkenny from the new album BURIED, by Emma Capponi and Fionnbarr Byrne.
The creeping dread of this folk horror tale follows the poisoning of Lord Randall and his descent into madness. Mysterious herbs, shadowy figures and questionable motives follow his dinner of bread, beef and cold poison.
Join us at Mote 102 on Thursday November 13th for a special screening event, featuring the short film, a performance by Emma and Fionn, artworks surrounding the song, as well as a chance to explore the costumes and the set in Mote102, where the film was shot.
The space will also be open to visit on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November, with the set and artworks can be viewed alongside open music sessions and craft-in through the weekend.
The screening event is free, but ticketed, due to limited space.
