This workshop is part of the FREE Saturdays in the D adult learning program offered by the City of Detroit and University of Michigan.
We are thrilled to have Ally Financial as our sponsor for Saturdays in the D, supporting our mission to provide valuable educational opportunities and resources to the community.
Description:
Nearly 3 out of 4 Americans feel stressed about money according to a 2023 survey. If you’re one of them, there are probably plenty of reasons why. A mixed economy. Rising prices. Budget-breaking credit card, student loan or car loan debt. Chances are, one or more of these factors may have you sacrificing saving over spending and feeling like your finances are spinning out of control.
In this session, participants will explore how to create financial stability and long-term security through thoughtful planning. Topics include developing savings strategies for personal goals and retirement, and building a personalized three-bucket plan to manage short-term needs, mid-term goals, and long-term investments.
At the end of this hour, you’ll have concrete ways to begin owning your financial future. The time is now!
