Let’s Build Homes is working to end Vermont’s housing shortage by building more homes of all shapes and sizes for our neighbors in every community, while valuing our state’s working landscape. For the first time, a broad, statewide coalition has come together to craft and advance policies that make it easier to build the homes we need, and to shift the narrative around growth toward one of opportunity and vitality.
What We've Accomplished
In our first legislative session, our coalition of 250+ organizations and 800+ Vermonters played a leading role in passing the Community Housing Infrastructure Program (CHIP). This landmark bill removes a key barrier to new homes by giving communities the funding and tools to build essential infrastructure like water, sewer, and roads.
Why Your Support Matters Now
Despite CHIP and other recent progress, our state still faces one of the nation’s most severe housing shortages. Young families are priced out, nurses and construction workers can’t find housing near jobs, businesses struggle to recruit, and thousands of Vermonters are homeless. To keep up the momentum, we need a strong Let’s Build Homes coalition to continue leading the way and keeping our state focused on pro-homes action.
