About Our Speakers:

José Beceiro is the CEO and founder of Beceiro Strategies. José has worked in the cleantech and high-tech industries for 15 years. His background and areas of expertise include clean energy project development, site selection, university research collaboration, economic development strategy, and corporate business development. As a fundraiser, José has raised over 1 million dollars per year in corporate support for university programs. As an economic developer, he helped grow Austin’s cleantech industry to over 250 companies and 20,000 jobs.

Currently, José serves as the Senior Director of the Global Energy 2.0 initiative for the Greater Houston Partnership. His work in Houston focuses on transitioning its energy economy toward a sustainable energy future.

Ben Jawdat is the founding CEO of Revterra. He received his PhD in physics from the Texas Center for Superconductivity at the University of Houston, and completed postdoctoral studies at the Air Force Research Laboratory and Rice University. At Revterra, he is focused on the development of a clean and highly efficient kinetic energy storage system for utility scale applications such as the storage of wind and solar energy.

Chad Zamarin became senior vice president of Corporate Strategic Development for Williams in June 2017. He oversees enterprise-level strategy, business development and customer relationship management and is responsible for government affairs, communications and community relations and project analysis. Prior to joining Williams, Zamarin served as senior vice president and president, Pipeline and Midstream at Cheniere Energy, Inc. Before joining Cheniere Energy, Zamarin served in various executive roles at NiSource/Columbia Pipeline Group, including chief operating officer at NiSource Midstream, LLC and NiSource Energy Ventures, LLC, as well as president of Pennant Midstream, LLC.

Zamarin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering from Purdue University and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Houston.

Zamarin was appointed by the former Secretary of Transportation and continues to serve on the Department of Transportation’s Gas Pipeline Advisory Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA).

Harvin Moore leads Houston Exponential ("HX"), which works to accelerate the growth of Houston's rapidly expanding technology innovation ecosystem. HX is focused on connecting all parts of the ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, startup companies, angel and venture capital investors, universities, and innovation-oriented large corporations and research institutions. HX is also focused on attracting talent and capital to the region, and promoting Houston as a thriving, innovative, diverse and inclusive city.

Harvin has been involved in Houston's technology innovation movement since the 1990s as a startup entrepreneur, mentor, advisor, investor, and limited partner of one of Houston's leading startup development organizations and co-working hubs. As a Principal of Frontera Technology Ventures (“FTV”), Harvin has invested in and/or advised growth-stage technology companies. FTV holds equity stakes in more than twenty of its portfolio clients.

Harvin currently serves on several boards including KIPP Houston, TXRX Labs, the Houston Angel Network, NASA’s Space Center Houston, the Powell Foundation, and a public company, Industrial Tech Acquisitions Inc. He holds an MBA from New York University, and a BA in Economics from Northwestern University.
