Building the movement!

You are invited to join movers and shakers of the progressive left - aka the democracy movement and friends at this second event in recent history. The first was on the topic of Your Party shenanigans. However, this one is the next logical step: getting on with the job creating a mass participation movement - via assemblies, festivals, campaigns, elections etc for local communities leading to real system change!

Building a strong, participatory culture and grassroots mobilisations within communities is the strategic imperative for the left in the UK. 

We've set up this get together to bring together the various groups and individuals working to establish that democratic culture - these include people from the following spaces; democracy/assembly, mutual aid, climate/youth, political tech, culture/art and radical media groups etc.

​The aim is to get everyone on the same page and develop coordinated concrete plans, identifying the roles our various groups and campaigns can play in the weeks,months, and years ahead. The event will help build relationships,cross-polinate ideas, leading to involvement in joint projects at a local level which will translate  into regional and national networking and campaigns, importantly leading to political influence.

We will have short inputs, break out groups, and plenty of time for 1-2-1 networking. It will be good!
