Building Talent Pipelines will address the concerns of over 8,000 employers who do business in and around the South Bronx and struggle with recruitment and retention while lifting up the employment challenges of those living in the neighborhood. In the South Bronx, where the population is young compared to the rest of the Bronx and the City as a whole, one in five residents is between the ages of 16 and 25, and one out of four young adult residents are out-of-school and out-of-work, representing a major untapped pool of potential recruitment. With tremendous public and private investment in programs that train and credential local residents for the very positions they seek to fill, employers have near-limitless options to access talent.
