Event Details

This presentation will focus on common construction snags that slow the construction process when building a sustainable building.  We will touch on several sustainable programs including LEED, Energy Star, Enterprise green Communities and how to meet those requirements.  There are several issues including insulation, zip board, and vapor barrier installation, along with ductwork sealing and piping insulation to name some of the items we will touch on.  The presentation will start from a construction perspective and then we will transition into how we can improve the design documents to prevent these issues from happening on the next project.

Session Objectives:

  • Explain and outline best process to fix construction issues in the field during construction.

  • Outline the procedure to change the design documents to prevent the common construction mistakes.
