Who should register under the Lived Experience ticket?

Persons with lived experience includes individuals who were in foster care or placed with relatives through DSS, a parent, a foster parent, an adoptive parent, a kinship care provider and siblings of youth in care whether biological, foster or otherwise fictive.

I work with children in the child welfare system, can I register under the Lived Experience ticket?

Accepted Answer

No. You must have personal lived experience with the child welfare system.  If your experience is all professional, you must register under the Community Stakeholder ticket.

Question 3

I registered under the Lived Experience ticket, but I don't have lived experience. What will happen?

Accepted Answer

If you don't have lived experience but registered under the lived experience ticket, your registration will be cancelled.  You can put yourself on the Community Stakeholder waitlist.

Can I register someone  else?

Accepted Answer

You can register someone else so long as they have given you expressed permission to register them and you must register them using their name and contact information.   All registered attendees are expected to attend the December 11th Visioning Session. Any duplicate registrations will be deleted.

There is no fee to attend this Visioning Session.

Where do I park?

Attendees can park in the Morgan State University Student Center Parking Garage for free.   There is a bridge on the 3rd floor of the garage that leads into the Student Center.  You can park on the 3rd floor or take the elevator to the 3rd floor.

Question 8

Will meals be provided to attendees?

Accepted Answer

Yes, attendees will be provided a continental breakfast and lunch.
