The Benchmarking 101 Training is designed for building owners who have never benchmarked their building’s energy use before. This training will walk building owners through the benchmarking process from start to end and will have a limited time for questions at the end.
Colorado’s House Bill 21-1286 requires owners of commercial, multifamily, and public buildings 50,000 square feet and larger to report their energy use to the Colorado Energy Office (CEO) through ENERGY STAR’s® Portfolio Manager® tool. This energy data is due to CEO annually on or before June 1st.
This training will help building owners comply with Building Performance Colorado, as well as provide information around:
- What is benchmarking and why is it important,
- The benchmarking process and the specific requirements of the Building Performance Colorado Program
- How to benchmark using ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®, and
- How to submit a benchmarking report and make sure you are in compliance.
Unsure if this requirement applies to you? To find out if a building you own or manage is covered by Building Performance Colorado, please use this tool to look up your building’s address and its corresponding ID. If you own a building that is 50,000 square feet or larger and don’t see it in that too, please contact our Help Center at benchmarking@buildingperformanceco.com.
