Participants will learn how to design and size solar PV systems while gaining an understanding of load analysis and component selection.

This training is exclusively for NAMC-Oregon Members and their team. Registration is required and will close on January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM

Attendance at all classes within this series of trainings is required to qualify for the certification.

Session 3: Introduction to Electricity

Speaker: Knowledge Murphy

Class Objective:
By the end of this session, participants will understand the science behind electricity and how it relates to solar energy systems. Students will review the roles of protons and electrons, explore the two states of energy, and explain how conductors, insulators, and circuits function. They will also learn Ohm’s Law and the relationships between voltage, current, and resistance, as well as how energy is distributed and measured at different power scales.
