General Information

Diversity is an important, foundational component of the California Community Colleges' advancement toward achieving the goals outlined in the Vision for Success. Attendees at the Building Diversity Summit will develop skills and strategies to:

  • foster a campus-wide environment of equity and inclusion through diversity hiring
  • articulate the contributions that diverse faculty and staff provide to the student experience
  • adopt promising hiring practices in order to reflect a diverse student population

It is recommended that colleges or districts attend together with a cross-functional team, including but not limited to:
