About this event
Please note that the Building Connections Symposium has been postponed following the recommendations of B.C.’s provincial health officer and the Public Health Agency of Canada. We plan to reschedule for when it is safe to host an event of this size for all members of our community.
This symposium is a free full-day event that connects SFU and UBC faculty, educators and staff around the topic of how well-being relates to teaching practices and learning environments.
Through interactive talks and breakout sessions, attendees will learn about best practices and theories related to creating conditions for well-being in learning environments, share their own practices and experiences, and connect with other like-minded faculty and staff. Attendees will also have the opportunity to consider students’ point of view of well-being, institutional support, and campus experiences, while providing their input on how both institutions can better support well-being in learning environments.
Please email us at wellbeing.learning@ubc.ca should you have any questions regarding this event.
