FAQs

I have a promo code. How do I use it?

Click the green "Tickets" button on the top right of this screen. A window will pop up with "General Admission" and the price per ticket. There is a small blue "Enter promo code" link above that. Click on the link, enter your promo code, and press apply.

I am presenting. How do I register?

You should receive instructions that will include a code that you can enter above the General Admission listing when you get to the registration form (after clicking on the green "Tickets" button on the top right).

I want to attend cannot because of finances. Are scholarships available?

Yes, email conference@schoolhealthcenters.org to request a scholarship.

I work or live in the Central Valley or Inland Empire. How do I get my free tickets?

Click the green "Tickets" button on the top right of this screen. A window will pop up with "General Admission," "Central Valley Residents," and "Inland Empire Residents" ticket options. Choose the ticket type Central Valley or Inland Empire and complete the form to register. You will need to provide in the form the county where you live or work.

What time are the conference sessions and do I have to attend all of them?

The conference runs from 9 am - 2 pm on each of the three days. You can see the schedule here. You do not need to attend every session.

Can our agency register for the conference and we can all watch together?

Each attendee has their own log-on information for the conference. The log-on allows the attendee to enter sessions and also tracks their activities such as the raffle prize scavenger hunt. If cost is a concern, please email conference@schoolhealthcenters.org to request a scholarship.

How does it work with live and recorded sessions?

During the week of conference - Tuesday, November 2, to Thursday, November 4 - the agenda will include live sessions and speakers will be available for chat. We will make slides and recordings available on our website after the event.

On what type of device can I attend the conference?

You can sign into the conference on any device. A device with a larger screen like a laptop or PC will have a better view than a tablet or phone.

Do I need a web camera on my computer or device to attend the conference?

No, you will watch on the screen on your device and will not need a camera.

Do I need to subscribe to a video platform to attend the conference?

No. The conference platform will use Zoom and Vimeo. You do not need to subscribe to these platforms to attend an event unless you use your phone to view. If you view on your phone you will need to subscribe.

My employer prohibits the use of Zoom, what should I do?

When you are attending a Zoom event, such as the conference, this should not be a problem.

My employer blocks a lot of platforms. What if I cannot access the conference platform?

You have a couple of options. You can ask your IT staff to unblock access to the conference platform, which is called Pheedloop. You can also attend the conference outside of your employer network. We encourage all attendees to log on to the conference platform, as soon as it is ready to test their access and get familiar with navigation.

What time zone is the conference in?

The times on the agenda correspond to Pacific Daylight Time.

Can the conference ‘sell out’ and there will not be enough spaces?

No, we will ensure that all registered attendees can join the event.

Our Mission

The California School-Based Health Alliance aims to improve the health and academic success of children and youth by advancing health services in schools.

Our Goals

Healthy Children. Too many children come to school every day suffering from conditions that seriously impact their ability to learn and succeed.

Successful Students. Healthy students miss fewer classes, are less likely to drop out and have a better chance of success in school and beyond.

Equity and Access. School-based health centers (SBHCs) offer services in a place that is familiar, trusted, age-appropriate, and convenient for all students and families – in school.
